How To Get Rid Of Acne Scars

Most of us experience the discomfort of acne during teenage (I did) and some of us suffer from it trough out our 20´s and above. The sad thing about pimples is that, not only are they ugly and embarrassing to have but they can leave ugly scars. There are different types of scars from acne that requires different types of treatment some will heal naturally and disappear while others stay unless you do something about them. We will talk about how to get rid of acne scars, both shallow and deep ones. Before we get there though, I should ask, do you suffer from red acne scars that appear to be inside the skin, and if so, how old are they? Red marks are not necessarily scars; they can be temporary as a result of the healing process. The marks tend to fade away with time (often within a years period) so they don’t require any special treatment. If that time period haven’t yet passed than you might want to wait for the red marks to heal naturally.

Whit that being said lets look at some of the available methods for getting rid of acne scars that has worked for people (according to my little research the last few days!).

I know from personal experience that tea tree oil works miraculously well with acne problems because when I was fourteen years old I had it prescribed from the doctor (note: you can buy it without a prescription) it did work, my acne reduced dramatically and it accelerated my skins healing process. It has a very strong sent though and some might dislike it, it is also quite strong (especially if it is 100% tea tree oil) and it is recommended only to take a little of it rather than poring it all over the face, if you take too much of it, it can sting a little. Acne is bacterial and infective, that is exactly what the tea tree oil works against so as you use it you prevent infection from spreading to cause more acne while it also helps you to heal faster, if you have read marks than tea tree oil can help it to heal faster.

If you are searching for a way to get rid of acne scars that could be somewhat cheap and that certainly want hurt you than you might want to look into microdermabrasion. There are lots of people who talk good about it and changes can be apparent after the first time of use (or first session if you decide to visit a day spa)

What I can say however is that it seems as if it doesn’t work for everyone and the ones who’s not satisfied tend to regret the travel and the costs of visiting a dermatologist. Of course, thus who have success with it would disagree; the sensible thing would be to search for the most recommended LOCAL day spa if you decide to try it.

Some charge more than others but expect to pay 100 dollars or more per session.

Another solution would be to order a home microdermabrasion kit. I have heard positive things about Olay, Neutrogena, RoC Renewex. The home based kits are cheaper, you can get one for as little as 25 dollars.

If you came here to learn how to get rid of acne scarring that sits deeper than I’m afraid I have some boring news for you, the deeper ones (aka ice pick scars) tend to be tedious to get rid of in fact, cosmetic surgery can be the only solution, I have a couple of ice pick scars but I am not recommending cosmetic surgery because I personally don’t think it is worth the effort. It is very expensive to perform this type of procedures and I have also heard that it is very painful. If you decide to go that rout however, I guess the best advice I can give you is to do extensive research on the surging you consider working with and that you don’t seek out the cheapest one but instead, go fore a surgeon with grate reputation he will probably charge more but he will know what he is doing.
